Mount Hermon is actually a mountain cluster with three distinct summits and lies within the boundaries of Syria, Lebanon and Israel. According to chapter 6 of the book of Enoch it is the place where about 200  angels came down and decided to take as wives the “daughters of men”. Interestingly the highest permanently manned U.N. position in the world is on Mount Hermon in the U.N. buffer zone there that lies between the Syrian part and Israeli occupied portions.
